Tilicho Peak Expedition (7134m. )
Tilicho peak expedition is one of the popular but technically challenging 7000m. peaks in Annapurna region. Beautiful Tilicho lake add more attraction for Toilicho Peak climbing. The peak is situated north of Manag in Annapurna region. Its north-east ridge covered with snow majestically towers the high Kali Gandaki valley to the west and the Marshyangdi Valley to the east, while the hidden kingdom of Mustang lies just few miles to the north. We follow the classic route of Annapurna circuit trekking up to Manang and then proceed towards Tlicho Lake to approach the mountain.
Tlicho Peak expedition is considered a technical climb among the 7000m. peaks in Himalayas. Normally three high camps will be established in climbing Tilicho Peak to the summit. Base camp will be set near Tilicho Lake at an altitude of 4800m. Camp I will be pitched at 5800m. after climbing along the ridge from where spectacular views of Tilicho Lake can be seen. Climbing with fixed ropes is required on 40 degrees slope to reach Camp II at 6300m. Summit is approached with climbing on some streaches of 60 degrees slope.
