Day01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly greeted by a staff / representative from Ang Rita Trek & Expedition as you come out at the airport after the immigration formalities. You will be transferred to a hotel. A briefing of the tour will be arranged at a convenient time.
Day 02: Fly to Paro and Drive to Thimpu.
We transfer you to the airport for the flight to Paro in the morning. It will be a great scenic flight over the Himalays. After landing at Paro and immigration and custom formalities, you are met and transferred to Paro.Visit the National Musuem of Paro, before driving to Thimphu, which takes about 1.5hrs.
Day 03: Thimphu Sightseeing.
We commence sightseeing tour. First we visit to National Library, the priceless collection of Buddhist manuscript, Folk and Heritage Museum, which displays day to day livelihood of typical Bhutanese farmers in medieval period and their accessories, Late King’s Memorial Stupa, built for the world peace and Traditional Handmade Paper Factory, Painting School, which preserves our traditional paintings, sculpturing and wood curving, majestic Tashichhodzong, which houses office for the king and the ministers of Bhutan and National Handicraft Emporium, the best place to look for souvenir from Bhutan. Free time in the evening can be spent walking Thimphu City.
Day 04: Thimphu - Paro
We drive to Paro and proceed to trail-head and begin your hike to Takstang (Tiger’s Lair) monastery, Bhutan’s most famous sight. If needed the guide can arrange pony/horse for ride uphill till the Cafeteria, and further we have to walk to the monastery. A proper hiking boot or good walking shoes is necessary for this hike. Taktshang or Tiger's Nest, as it is often referred to for Taktshang Pelphung monastery, is one of the most venerated and famous of Bhutan's monasteries. It is located on the face of a 900m sheer cliff.
Day 05: Fly to Kathmandu
We transfer you to the airport at Paro for the flight to Kathmandu. You chek-in at the hotel and after refreshment, we arrange sightseeing tour in Kathmandu. We visit Swayambhunath - the Buddhist stupa believed to be 2500 years old towering on the top of a hill commanding sweeping view of Kathmandu valley, the most profound expression of Buddhist symbolism in Nepal and possibly in the world. Next, you visit Kathmandu Durbar Square (old royal palace). Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, boast for distinctive pagoda roofed temples, stone sculptures and old monuments. The main places you see are Nine Storey Basantapur Tower with outstanding wood carving, Taleju Temple for its artistic richness and religious importance, Kasthamandap - a huge building believed to be built from the wood of a single tree and Kumari Chwok - abode of living goddess, KUMARI.
Next we visit Patan - the city of beauty, is the oldest city in Kathmandu valley - full of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples. You explore Sundarichowk that contains one of the grandest bathtubs in the world, Krishna Temple - one of the masterpieces of stone art of ages. You visit 12th century Hiranyavarna Mahabihar - a still active Buddhist monastery and Mahabuddha - the replica of famous Mahabouddha in Bodh Gaya of India originally built with nine thousand bricks bearing small images of Buddha on each and every nine thousand bricks. Next you visit Tibetan Handicraft Center to observe how the carpets are made by hand.
Day 06: Airport Transfer
We transfer you to the airport for your onward journeys
