Lhasa - Everest Base Camp

Tibet known as the “roof of the world” has become one of the
most exotic and favorite destinations in the world for
adventure seekers, scholars and explorers. Tibet is a
beautiful land with an average altitude over 4000m with more
than fifty peaks over 7000m. Its snow covered plateau are
the highest in the world. Besides Everest that we see from
Tibet side, there are several 8000m peaks. In fact it is a
great land of beauty and mystery, once we land here, we get
the opportunity to explore mysterious , uninhabited open
spaces, fabulous monasteries, high plateau grassland, the
holy mountains, sacred lakes which give overwhelming and
exhilarating experience. Tibet has some of the most
beautiful and fascinating places rich in ancient culture and
spiritual tradition which cannot be found in other parts of
the world. Trekking to Everest base camp from Tibet side
offers the spectacular views of the high Himalayas including
Everest in the north.
Itinerary

ITINERARY
Day 01: Fly over
panoramic Himalayan range to Lhasa ( 3650m. ). Transfer to
hotel.
Day 02 -03: Two full day sightseeing in Lhasa including Potala
Palace, Norbulinka Palace, Drepung and Sera monasteries, Jokhang
temple and Bharkhor Market.
Day 04: A full day drive to Gyantse ( 3900m. ) crossing Kamba la
(4794m) and the Karo la pass (5010m), with spectacular views and
Yamdrok tso, also known as the Turquoise lake.
Day 05: Visit Gyantse stupa and monastery. Drive to Shigatse and
visit famous Tashilinpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama.
Day 06: Drive to Lhatse ( 4350m. ) pssing two high passes on the
way.
Day 07: Drive through Tsho La ( 4500m. ) and enjoy great view of
Mt. Everest from the Rombuk Monastery ( 5050m. ). Stroll around
the monastery.
Day 08: Commence a hike for 2 hours to reach Everest base camp (
5200m. ). Observe the surrounding and enjoy close view of
Everest. Return to Rombuk and drive to Lao Tingri ( 4200m. )
from where the views of mountains are spectacular.
Day 09: Drive to Zhangmu passing Lalung La ( 5050m. ) and then
to Kathmandu.
