MARDI HIMAL PEAK
Mardi Himal peak is one of the smaller peaks among trekking
peaks in Nepal and a peak of little technical difficulty for
climbing. The peak is situated in less than 15 miles from
Pokhara and the most southerly peak of the Annapurna range.
The summit of the peak offers magnificent view of Annapurna
ranges and spectacular one of Machhapuchhre. A climbing trip
to Mardi Himal can be combined with trekking in remote areas
through dense forest of bamboo and rhododendron and pasture
land away from human civilization. Base camp will be pitched
at 4100m. below the south face of Mardi Himal and the south
– west ridge of Machhapuchhre. High camp will be placed at
4600m. climbing steeply towards the col between the east
face of Mardi Himal and the connecting ridge of
Machhapuchhre. We climb to a col and further steep up of
snow slopes leading to the summit.
