Skilled craftsmen and enlightened monarchs have contributed Nepal’s rich artistic heritage over the ages. The ancient cities with their maze of alleys and gabbled roofs, numerous shrine, temples and old palaces with their architectural splendor and sumptuous elegance of art depicting ancient culture are a delight to explore. It is a place where art and traditions are as vital as they were a thousand years ago. Tours in Nepal explore all the wonders of this Himalayan kingdom
Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal and is one of the world's oldest cities. Tour in Kathmandu Valley explore the sites in three cities: Kathemandu, Patan & Bhaktapur. Kathmandu Durbar Square boasts for distinctive pagoda roofed temples, stone sculptures, old monasteries and historic monuments.
The most interesting part of Kathmandu is the ancient Hanuman Dhoka Palace and temple complex in the midst of the old city. Kumarichwok, where living virgin goddess lives, illustrates Kathmandu Valley no more only a dead museum of temples, gods and goddesses. Patan is the oldest city in the Kathmandu Valley. The ancient name of Patan is Lalitpur, meaning the city of beauty. It still remains a proud city of artisans. The city is full of Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples with fine bronze gateways, guardian deities and wonderful carvings. The entire Patan Durbar Square is a cluster of royal palaces, fine pagoda temples and stone statues.
Bhaktapur was developed as a city in the 9th century. It is Nepal's most perfectly preserved city known as the "City of Devotees". Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a conglomeration of old palaces, pagodas and Shikhara style temples located around famous Fifty Five Window Palace. Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath symbolize holy pilgrimage sites for Buddhists and Hindus.
Beyond the cultural interests of Kathmandu Valley, there are numerous fascinating places to visit throughout the country. Nagarkot, a scenic which offers spacious Himalayan views and peaceful country setting and others such as Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha and Pokhara - nestled on the lap of Annapurna massif (8,091 m.) and Machhapuchhre ( Fishtail Mountain- 6,997 m.) are delightful places to relax and enjoy the scenery.
We had a great guide, Dawa and a very friendly porter whom we called “namaste”. They were extremely friendly and helpful toward us and they took very good care of us during the whole trek. With well-planned itineary, we had no problems whatsoever with the altitude. The tea-houses the guide chose for us were also the best ones in every village. We enjoyed the whole trip very much. Now, we look back to those wonderful days on the trek and say that how lucky we were to be able to do that. We hope to work with Ang Rita Trek in planning another trip in the future.
Ang Rita Trek just provided me with an experience of a lifetime. Mingma, Shashi and their lead guide Lhocpha and their support staff were incredible in all aspects of trekking to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar. Their knowledge, professionalism, and care to ensure my safety on the trek and ensure I achieved my goals were unbelievable. Without reservation...I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone interested in this wonderful, once in a lifetime Trek...
Another excellent trekking experience with Ang Rita Trekking. The local arrangements were perfect. Our guides in the Khumbu were excellent. The guides treated us like friends, not just clients. We learned so much about the Sherpa culture from our head guide. Ang Rita Trekking is a first rate company and the price is very affordable. Compared with the outside companies we had better lodges, lots of good food, very good guides and porters at one third the price!!!
Ang Rita Trek & Expedition was recommended by my climbing friends. They were very helpful when I start planing my trip. All my questions was promptly answered. It was a very smooth process. In Nepal I was warmly welcomed and I was very lucky had a nice group cook, guide and porter. Everyone was very professional for their job and made my trip went great. I would highly recommend Ang Rita Trek & Expedition to everyone planing to go trek or climb in Nepal.
Since it was my first time in Nepal, I did not know what to expect; but our guides, Migma and Kami, ensured that all of the logistics were properly arranged and accommodated all of our needs throughout the trip. In addition, they introduced us to the geography and culture of the region. The food was incredibly good and diverse.
For me, Migma and Kami were not mere guides, but great friends who made the trek joyful and memorable.
Ang Rita Trek & Expedition and the wonderful guides helped to make my first trip to Base Camp an incredible journey. I got to see a beautiful part of the world and meet wonderful people. It is a trip that I hope to repeat soon.
Our group really enjoyed two weeks trip in Bhutan organized by Ang Rita Trek& Expedition. The program was interesting and satisfied our expectations. In our memories are most powerful dzongs and temples, Bhumtang festival, people, mountains and nature. If we could have more time, then we could have 2-3 days longer trekking to enjoy even more nature and mountains.
We liked the hotels, trekking and our guide, who knew a lot about Bhutan, history and Buddhism. Special thanks to the bus driver, who was really professional and always supporting us. Our heart has got touched by Bhutan nature and people.
Thank you for your efforts during our stay in Nepal, we appreciate having you around. We had great trekking to Jomsom Muktinath. Your service was wonderful.
The route you planned for us was great and we really enjoyed it. We will definitely recommend you for our friends. Everything was fine and we are really happy.
On behalf of Ray and I we wanted to thank you, Mingma, Kharmi, Brtha for making our expedition an amazing and memorable one which we will talk about for years to come.
Pls pass on special thanks to Kharmi as he worked very hard to make our trip a great one and Ray and I greatly appreciate his efforts throughout the entire trek.
PS: Especially his efforts and local knowledge at Lukla to get us out on the day we were to fly…..big sighs from both Ray and I to fly out of Lukla.
Thank you for all the services and help for us in Nepal. As You know, we all were in Nepal for the first time, but plan to come back to Your country again. Special thanks to guide Lhakpa, porters Nyrian and Bathri. Those guys are great: professional, helpful, fun and joyful. We had superb time with this company during our first trek in Nepal (around Annapurna).
After memorable trek we were really surprised with the rafting. Our expectations were much lower, but Mylo, Ramsi and the canoya guy (sorry- I forgot his name :) ) did everything, that we all would want to take rafting next time again. Those guys are great culinary specialists by the way :)
I could absolutely recommend Ang Rita Trek & Expedition for all the people, who come to Nepal not only for the first time. By myself I will contact this company next time again, because companies attitude and efforts let us have great time in Nepal. It's impossible to find such a great and professional company (manager, guides, raft instructors, porters, etc.) by your own.
I have been to Nepal twice now for mountaineering and trekking. I use Ang Rita Trekking as my agent and they organised everything for me, my highly experienced Sherpa (7 times Everest summit, north and south), and my porters. My first visit in 2012 was to do the Everest Base Camp trek and then to climb Island Peak. Time restrictions meant that I did not summit Island Peak but made a good attempt and got to almost 6000m.
The following year in 2013, I summited Mera Peak (6414m) again with Ang Rita Trekking as my agent. The agents meet you at your hotel in Kathmandu for final arrangements, all you have to do is email them with an idea of where you want to go and how you want to do it. I personally choose to do my mountaineering by myself with my own Sherpa and porters. Ang Rita Trekking not only make this possible but a fantastic experience. Next stop with Ang Rita Trekking – 7000m !
